
Jerry Gudis
Family Law Practitioner
Jerry Gudis is a seasoned family law practitioner with 15 years experience as a litigator and mediator. He is a member in good standing of the Maryland and D.C. Bars, admitted in 1993 and 1995, respectively. With a B.A. in Speech Communication from George Washington University (1988) and a Juris Doctor from The Columbus School of Law/The Catholic University of America in 1993 (top 10%), as well as a unique and successful first career in the Hospitality and Food Service industries (A.O.S. degree from The Culinary Institute of America, 1978, awarded “Most Outstanding Student” ), Mr. Gudis blends a tireless passion for people and the law. He is relied upon as a Maryland Circuit Court certified mediator (Alternative Dispute Resolution, 2004 – present) for divorces with complex property and financial disputes. From 1991-94, he appeared before Maryland’s District Court system as a Community Volunteer/Advocate in Maryland’s CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program on behalf of CINA (Children in Need of Assistance) clients, and has accepted court appointments to investigate and advocate on behalf of minor children’s best interests in the Maryland Court system. He is an active and ongoing member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, Family Law Section (1995 – present). Mr. Gudis is a native New Yorker and resides with his family in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
